The Director of Secondary Marketing will play a key role in leading Ross Mortgage in all facets of mortgage loan pricing, loan sales and loan delivery. This will include but is not limited to funding activities, lock desk administration and post-closing as well as overall risk management. The position also be responsible for timely and frequent communication with our hedge advisory firm and high-level oversight of all hedging and trading activity.
This is a high-impact role that requires significant attention to detail, a clear understanding of mortgage market-based execution, precision in decision-making and excellent communication skills with a robust and growing salesforce. The role also requires rigorous mortgage market analysis and an understanding of the economic forces and securities dynamics that influence the mortgage market. The role will require collaboration with finance, data operations, compliance and the risk teams to continually improve revenue and margin assessment and forecasting in addition to operational requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Ross Mortgage is looking for a detail-oriented professional with mortgage market experience who possesses strong organizational and team management skills as well as expertise in secondary market operations.
- Oversee all relevant operational activities including, but not limited to, lock desk, margin and pricing management, cash in-flow and out-flow, relationships and exceptions from originators, and loan delivery.
- Manage relationships with several Warehouse Lenders, Investors, Vendors, Broker/Dealers and Banks
- Source new relationships to support business growth and strategy and work closely with internal and external Legal counsel to negotiate contractual agreements with each.
- Develop and monitor new reporting to improve operational efficiencies
- Collaborate with Finance and Accounting on month-end financial reporting and regular forecasting.
Required Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience in mortgage finance with expertise in secondary markets
- Leadership experience in a Secondary Marketing/Capital Markets role
- Expertise in the operational aspects of secondary mortgage markets
- Experience in various forms of loan delivery
- High technical and analytic proficiency
- Excellent relationship management skills
- Bachelors degree in finance, math or other quantitative discipline preferred (Advanced degree a plus)
